Improving the Quality of Journal Management, UIN Jakarta Holds Open Journal System Updating

Diorama Harun Nasution, UIN News Online - UIN Jakarta held a coordination meeting of journal managers attended by the Vice Rector for General Administration, Prof. Dr. Imam Subchi M.A., Head of LP2M, Prof. Amelia Fauzia, M.A., Ph.D., Head of Journal House Center, Dr. Saifuddin Asrori, M.Si., Head of International Cooperation Service Center, Prof. Maila Dinia Husni Rahiem, M.A., Ph.D. and Journal Managers in the university environment, Friday (19/01/2024).

One of the main highlights of this meeting was the successful implementation of the latest server update on the Open Journal System (OJS). The meeting participants explained a number of improvements and updates to OJS to ensure the efficiency and reliability of the system which is expected to support the smooth management of journals at UIN Jakarta.

Strategies to improve the quality of journal management at UIN Jakarta also became the main focus of discussion. In order to achieve standardization and uniformity, journal managers shared experiences and ideas to optimize the editorial, review, and publishing processes. Concrete steps were identified to improve the quality of content and increase the competitiveness of UIN Jakarta journals at the national and international levels.

On this occasion, Vice Rector for General Administration, Prof. Dr. Imam Subchi M.A., emphasized the importance of collaboration between centers and related parties in achieving this success.

"Improving the quality of journal management is not only the responsibility of individuals or one center. This is our joint work to achieve high standards and make a significant contribution to the scientific world," said Imam.

In a broader context, the meeting also discussed strategies to improve campus rankings at the global level. The participants presented various strategic steps that can be taken to improve UIN Jakarta's international reputation and ranking. International partnerships, increased research collaboration, and increased visibility of scientific publications were some of the main points raised.
