IKALUIN Center Building, UIN Online News - The Ikatan Alumni Center UIN (IKALUIN) Jakarta building was officially opened on Sunday, May 26, 2024. The inauguration of the IKALUIN Center Jakarta coincided with the IKALUIN Award 2024 ceremony.
"This building, which has been officially opened, is part of a long process. The existence of this building is very important for UIN Jakarta alumni. It serves not only as a place for networking but also functions as a career center," said the Chairman of IKALUIN Jakarta, Dr. Tubagus Ace Hasan Syadzily, M.Si.
It is known that the inauguration of the IKALUIN Jakarta building was actually scheduled for last year. However, because it coincided with a political year, the inauguration was postponed until after the 2024 elections. The postponement was to ensure that the building would not be used for political purposes related to the presidential and legislative elections.
The Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, could not attend because he was representing the country in the election of the rector of the Indonesian International Islamic University (UIII). The Minister assigned the Acting Director General of Islamic Education at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Prof. Dr. Abu Rokhmad, to attend on his behalf.
The Rector of UIN Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., stated that the main assessment of a university is based on the contributions of its alumni in the workforce. Prof. Asep expressed his gratitude to the chairman of IKALUIN Jakarta, who was entrusted with a budget from the Ministry of Religious Affairs for the construction of the building.
The Acting Director General of Islamic Education at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Prof. Dr. Abu Rokhmad, M.Ag., stated that the Ministry participated in the opening meeting themed 'Education Roadmap towards a Golden Indonesia 2045,' organized by the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas).
After the inauguration of the IKALUIN Jakarta building, the IKALUIN Award 2024 ceremony with the theme 'Alumni Contributions to the Nation' was held at the Harun Nasution Auditorium. During the event, the Minister of Religious Affairs, Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, signed the inauguration plaque of the UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Alumni Center Building.
"The construction of the UIN Jakarta Alumni Center Building serves as a career information service center for students and alumni, as well as a place for networking among UIN Jakarta alumni," said the Minister.
