IFI-UIN Jakarta holds evening lectures
Jakarta, UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta and the French Embassy through the Institut Francais Indonesia (IFI) holds evening lecture themed “Betting on floods: index-based microinsurance system for coping with natural disasters” by presenting Marian Eabrasu keynote speaker on Tuesday (05/07/2019) at IFI, the French Embassy, Jl MH Thamrin Jakarta.
Also present in the event, The Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis, accompanied by Vice Rector for Student Affairs Masri Manroer, and students of UIN Jakarta.
Rector in her remarks positively appreciated this event to further develop the knowledge of UIN Jakarta's students.
“I would like to thank IFI for giving us the chance to be here, especially for attending this important seminar. I hope that the audience can pay attention to the exposure provided by the speaker,” said Amany.
Meanwhile, Marian in his presentation provides an overview of how the index-based microinsurance systems in Indonesia and can help the insured to cope with natural disasters.
Based on UIN News Online observation, the participants are very enthusiastic to follow the course of event. Several questions were asked by the participants to the speaker towards the end of the event.
For information, Marian Eabrasu is an Associate Professor at the South Champagne Business School (Troyes, France) and research fellow at the GRANEM (Angers University, France). He obtained his PhD in moral and political philosophy at the Paris VIII Saint-Denis University (France), and his Habilitation in economics and management at the Angers University (France). His research interests cover various areas of economics, management and philosophy with a special emphasis on business ethics and corporate social responsibilities. He recently published a book Moral Disagreements in Business (Springer, 2018) and two academic articles: Cheating in Business: A Metaethical Perspective (Journal of Business Ethics, 2018) and Pinning down the social license to operate: The problem of normative complexity (Ressources Policy, 2018).
