IAIN Purwokerto conducts comparative study visit to UIN Jakarta

Rectorate, UIN News Online – In order to improve its academic and institutional quality, as well as to develop the three pillars of higher institution, IAIN Purwokerto conducts comparative study visit to UIN Jakarta, Friday (11/13/2020). Their visit was welcomed by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis, accompanied by Vice Rectors, Bureau Chiefs, and the head of institutions in UIN Jakarta.

The Rector of IAIN Purwokerto Moh. Roqib in his remarks said that IAIN Purwokerto is currently preparing for its transformation to university (UIN). According to Moh Roqib, UIN Jakarta becomes the main destination for comparative study visit because UIN Jakarta had many forms of excellence and experiences, both local-regional and international, including the development of its infrastructure. The experience of UIN Jakarta, he said, will become a main reference for IAIN Purwokerto in transforming into a university.

“With so many experience and achievement, it’s only natural that IAIN Purwokerto will learn a lot from UIN Jakarta,” said Moh. Roqib.

In response, the Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis welcomes the intention of IAIN Purwokerto, she also gave a presentation on the academic and institutional development of UIN Jakarta. In her presentation, she considered that the IAIN Purwokerto has the potential to improve its development progress.

Furthermore, with various study programs and lecturers, Amany continued, it is not impossible for IAIN Purwokerto to get International recognition. “With this potential, I’m pretty sure that IAIN Purwokerto can develop itself into the best higher institutions,” said Rector.

After the dialogue, the event was then continued with the MoU signing ceremony. The MoU is expected to   strengthen Institutional capacity and three pillars of higher education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi), between UIN Jakarta and IAIN Purwokerto. (usa)
