Hundreds of KIP College Scholarship Recipients Attend the Forum of Bidikmisi Students of Indonesia Smart Card College (FORMABI-KIP)
UIN Jakarta - Forum of Students Bidikmisi Indonesia Smart Card College (FORMABI-KIP). Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta successfully organized the KIP-K Achievement Student Orientation (ORMASI) 2024. The event was attended by 700 new students who receive KIP-K which was held on Friday, December 13, 2024 at the Harun Nasution Auditorium Building. With the theme “A Glorious Future Awaits: Encouraging Growth, Excellence, and Faith”. Prof. Ali Munhanif M.A., Ph.D. Vice Rector for Student Affairs of UIN Jakarta said that scholarship recipients must understand their obligations and responsibilities, and be active in student organization according to their interests. “Awareness of the obligations of duties, demands and also responsibilities as a scholarship recipient should really be lived from now on and be active in various student organizations that you may have a passion for,” he said.
The event was also followed by a session of handing over the Rector's Decree (SK) to representatives of KIP-K recipients from 12 Faculties symbolically. The SK was handed over directly by Prof. Ali Munhanif, who was accompanied by the ranks of student affairs. student representatives from 12 Faculties, including the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences, Faculty of Ushuluddin, Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Sharia and Law, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Keguruan, Faculty of Dirasat Islamiyah, Faculty of Adab and Humanities, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Psychology, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Faculty of Economics and Business, and Faculty of Medicine.
Meanwhile, Haykal Farhan Kamil, Chairman of FORMABI-KIP congratulated all KIP-College Scholarship recipients and hoped that they could make the most of this opportunity to achieve their goals. " Congratulations and welcome aboard to all KIP 2024 scholarship students on the campus of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta and I hope that you can utilize this properly and play an active role because I am sure that you are the chosen ones who will definitely become critical, creative, and innovative people," said Haykal.
The mentoring session included a presentation of Religious Moderation, which was delivered by Dr. Anis Masykhur, M.A. As the Chairperson of the Religious Moderation Implementation Working Group of the Directorate General of Education of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, he said that religion must be moderate. By being fair means prioritizing obligations based on knowledge. “Our perspective, our way of religion, our way of Islam, must be moderate. Suppose there is an obligatory parental call but then he is more occupied with playing, well that is called unfair attitude and behavior. I define fairness as speaking with knowledge, so that is moderate,” said Anis.
And the second material is Character Building which was delivered by Muhammad Willy Wijaya as Human Resource of Merck and Founder of Marikator. He said that the pattern of habits built helps to develop critical thinking, behavior, and emotions, because maturation is more about how we think and act everyday. “Patterns that you build from habits teach you how to think critically, how you can build behavior and also emotional management because the maturation process is not only about age but back again how we think, act or even do habits better,” said Willy.
After the presentation of the material, it was continued with the election of the head of the 2024 KIP-K recipient class. Through voting which involves all participants and the ORMASI-KIP committee, Ranti Aprianti from the Faculty of Nursing Sciences was elected as the head of the 2024 KIP-K class.
Furthermore, the event was closed by the presentation of the best participant, which was presented to Ikhmal Mudzaky Salim from the Faculty of Public Health and a photo session with all participants and organizers, as a closing series of events.
