HMPS IAT UIN Jakarta Holds Grand Closing of Islamic Z Fest, Providing Insights on the Development of Language and Bayani Interpretation for Youth
Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN News Online - The Student Association of Quran and Tafsir Study Program (HMPS), Faculty of Ushuluddin held a book review event “Tafsir Bayani: Language Paradigm in Al-Qur'an Vocabulary” by Qurish Shihab. This event was part of the Grand Closing Islamic Z Fest themed “Islamic Youth Empowerment Summit” which was held at the Harun Nasution Auditorium on Tuesday (23/10/2024).
The Grand Closing Islamic Z Fest is the culmination of a series of activities that have taken place previously. These activities include seminars, talk shows, and competitions. The chief executive said that Islamic Z Fest aims to encourage the younger generation to become drivers of change.
The Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Eva Nugraha, M.Ag., said that this was a good first step and hoped that the next Islamic Z Fest could be bigger, “small efforts will have a big impact,” she said.
The event was attended by Police Commissioner, AKBP Bambang Murdoko, SIK, SH, MH, who in his presentation discussed the spirit of nationalism among generation Z in welcoming the Golden Indonesia. According to him, this has become the ideal of all of us but in its journey it is still less than optimal. For him, the spirit of nationalism must be accompanied by a deep understanding of the meaning of the nation. “This is our common concern,” he added.
Also present was Member of the House of Representatives, Dr. H. Jazilul Fawaid, S.Q., M.A., who inaugurated the Nusantara Interpretation Study Center. In his presentation, he expressed his hope that the current generation would have the spirit of the Qur'an as an inspiration for life, “I want the Qur'an to become a spirit,” he said.
Furthermore, the book review session was filled by the Vice Dean for General Administration of the Faculty of Ushuluddin, Dr. Lilik Ummi Kaltsum, M.A., together with K.H. Muhammad Arifin, M.A., who gave an in-depth view of the language paradigm in the Qur'anic vocabulary. Both presenters presented new insights into the development of language and Bayani interpretation as a whole.
This event is expected to provide insight and motivation for the attendees to understand and apply the values of the Qur'an in their daily lives, and become a driver of positive change in society.
