HMJ PMTK UIN Jakarta Held the Optika XVII

FITK, UIN News Online – Student Association of Mathematics Education Department (HMJ PMTK) FITK UIN Jakarta held the XVII Mathematics Olympiad (Optika) 2017 on September 16, 2017 - October 1, 2017.

“The event will be held in several cities, such as Jakarta, Banten, Tangerang, Bekasi, Depok, Bogor, Bandung, Cirebon, Semarang, Pamekasan, Aceh, Palembang, Medan, Lampung, Balikpapan, Banjarmasin, Makassar, Palu, Bima, and Padang,” said the Optika committee chairman Nanda Rafli Muttaqin to UIN News Online, Friday, (9/15).

This event will focus on Madrassas and Islamic school students in order to increase their motivation and confidence, as well as to provide a place to improve skills in the field of mathematics.

He also added, as a nation’s next generation, the students must master the Science and Technology in order to win the global competition. Because nowadays, it is necessary to have skill and ability in using "intangible assets" that is knowledge, learning competencies and social networking.

“Therefore, HMJ-PMTK UIN Jakarta really hope this activity can run smoothly,” he added. (usa)
