HISSI appoints new organizational board
Ciputat, UIN News Online – The Indonesian Sharia Scientists and Scholars Association (HISSI) appoints new organizational board for the period of 2020-2024. The online inauguration ceremony was carried out on Thursday (11/20/2020), led by the Professor of the Faculty of Economics and Business UIN Jakarta, Euis Amalia. Also present in the event, the Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis as the Board of Trustees.
Chairman of the Inauguration Committee Dr. Syahrul A'dam revealed that the inauguration ceremony was carried out as an effort of HISSI to be more consistent and optimal in innovating and contributing its role in the midst of society. "To be better and consistent so that they continue to play an active role in society," he said.
Syahrul added, the total number of the National Executive Council which was inaugurated was 176 people. This number consists of the Board of Trustees as many as 21 people, the Council of Experts as many as 31 people, and the Board of Directors as many as 124 people.
The board members who are joined also consist of various professionals with a background in Islamic law. Starting from academics such as lecturers and researchers, legal practitioners such as supreme judges, high religious court judges and religious court judges, lawyers, sharia economic practitioners such as leaders of sharia financial and business institutions, politicians, social activists, and entrepreneurs.
Chairman of the HISSI Board of Trustees Dr. KH. Abdurrahman Dahlan hopes that the appointed administrators will work professionally. Meanwhile, the Constitutional Court Judge as well as the Council of Experts Dr. Wahiduddin Adams hopes that HISSI can play an active role in the development of sharia science in the midst of society. "This knowledge has developed widely and has become the most important part that must be applied in society,” he said.
Meanwhile, Rector Amany Lubis said that the task carried out by the organization of the association of sharia scientists and scholars is a noble task in actualizing the role of sharia in various fields of community life such as economics and law. For this reason, he suggested that the implementation of this organization be carried out in the paradigm of Ta'awun, Tarahum, and Takaful. (usa/zm)
