Highlighting Mental Health, UIN Jakarta Features Inspirational Talk Show at Santri Summit Festival 2025

Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN Online News – The Santri Summit Festival 2025, held on Sunday (June 29, 2025), featured a variety of inspiring sessions, including a talk show on “Life Motivation for the Young Generation Based on Mental Health and Islamic Spirituality.” This talk show brought together three inspiring speakers: Risty Tagor, Ang Sharly, and Raihan Habib.

In her story, Risty Tagor admitted to being at her lowest point in life, even having negative assumptions about the life path set by God. However, she realized that life is about putting in one's best effort.

"We can't keep having negative assumptions because we might not even live until the time we imagine. Our life is only for striving to the maximum," she said. She also emphasized the importance of sharing one's story with close ones as a first step when experiencing mental pressure. Risty stressed the importance of having friends or close confidants to talk to when experiencing mental pressure. According to her, expressing feelings is the first step to freeing oneself from mental burdens that lead to negative assumptions.

Meanwhile, songwriter Ang Sharly encouraged participants not to get stuck in their current problems but to focus on solutions and believe that everything will pass.

“Don't focus too much on the problem; instead, think about the solution and believe that we will reach a point where the problem is resolved, because Allah is always with us, anytime and anywhere,” she said. She added that when someone feels at their weakest point and wants to give up, that's precisely the best time to remember that Allah is always close to His servants. Ang Sharly serves as a reminder that mental strength comes from strong spirituality. She encouraged the younger generation not to ignore the power of prayer in facing life's pressures.

Echoing this, Raihan Habib also affirmed that prayer is a way to strengthen the heart, surrender all power to Allah, and believe that His help will come at the right time.

“When I was at my lowest point, I chose not to give up and kept praying, until finally Allah answered in unexpected ways,” said Raihan.

According to him, Allah has a thousand and one ways to help His servants who are in difficulty. A human's task is merely to be patient by continually praying and believing that every problem faced will surely be accompanied by a way out.

The Santri Summit Festival 2025 featured five inspiring talk show sessions. Following the opening talk show on "Life Motivation for the Young Generation Based on Mental Health and Islamic Spirituality," subsequent talk shows covered "Career Motivation and Writing," "Maintaining Islamic Values in the Gen Z Era," "Becoming a Blessed Content Creator on Social Media," and "How to Create with Passion."
