FU UIN Jakarta Holds Studium Generale on Quranic Tahfiz

FU, UIN News Online – Quranic Sciences and Exegesis Department of Ushuluddin Faculty (FU) UIN Jakarta holds stadium generale on quranic tahfiz themed “Trend Tahfidz Al-Qur’an di Indonesia (Melacak Akar Teologis-Historis)” at Prof. Dr. H.A.R. Partosentono theater, Faculty Ushuluddin, campus I of UIN Jakarta, Wednesday (04/18/2018). The event, moderated by Hasanuddin Sinaga MA present several Quranic experts such as Dr. KH. Ahsin Sakho Muhammad, MA, Dr. A. Husnul Hakim, MA and Dr. Deden M. Makhyaruddin, MA as speakers.

Dr. Ahsin Sakho Muhammad, MA in his presentation he told the students the importance of returning to the Qur'an. "Why do we need to return to the Qur'an, whether related to qiraat, hifdzul, and dirasah? The first reason, as the holy book of Muslims, the book of hidayah, and miracles. In addition, tahfidz al-Qur'an is supposed to be the top of the course at the Faculty of Ushuluddin from all the existing subjects," explained Kiai Ahsin.

He also added that he also added that Ushuluddin UIN Jakarta students should be able to understand the Qur'an as best as possible. “This is because the main task of a Quranic Tahfiz is to maintain the purity or the sanctity of the Qur'an,” he added.

Meanwhile, Dr. A. Husnul Hakim, MA explains the importance of memorizing the Quran, “It is important for anyone, especially Muslims to memorize the Qur'an. Because as the Prophet said. that the memorizing of the Qur'an, including the family of Allah [al-Hakim], is most entitled to his intercessory [Muslim narration], the mild worship but much reward [Thabrani], most deserving to be a prayer imam [Thabrani], even as a khatib of Jumu’ah prayer [Muslim] and so forth,” said Husnul

In line with Husnul, Deden also explained the importance of memorizing the Qur'an to the participants. “Memorizing the Qur'an, it will give intercession to the memorizers. Many people are experts on interpretation, but do not memorize the Qur'an. The commentator is capable of corrupting one's thinking, but the memorizers of the Qur'an always keep their purity,” said Deden (usa)
