Yusuf Rahman in his remarks explained that this visit has a noble goal, namely to build, maintain and empower religious communities to create harmonious religious communities in the midst of various worrisome conflicts.
“We cannot avoid the realities of internal and inter-religious pluralism in Indonesia, which in turn could lead to a worrying phenomenon, such as inter-religious conflict. As a nation’s element, we need to work hand in hand to anticipate this phenomenon,” said Yusuf during the meeting.
The government and universities, he added, are strategic elements in realizing these efforts. The collaboration between FU UIN Jakarta and FKUB DKI Jakarta is considered as a strategic partnership to anticipate the conflict phenomenon.
“The main objective is to maintain the harmony of religious life in DKI Jakarta. Separately, one of FKUB DKI Jakarta officials, Robi Nurhadi, said that this was a smart idea from the Higher Education Institution which would become credit points for both parties.
“This will be a good thing, especially regarding approaches and research for religious harmony development. This collaboration will enrich scientific findings at the academic level in the context of the study of religions in establishing harmonious life.
