FST UIN Jakarta Holds the 2nd International Conference on Science and Technology (ICOSAT) 2017
Ancol, UIN News Online – UIN Jakarta should be a role model of scientific and technological science development in the National State Islamic Higher Education Institution (PTKIN). This is necessary to increase the college's contribution to applied science, in addition to Islamic studies as the core of the field of science offered.
This was conveyed by the Rector of UIN Jakarta Prof Dr Dede Rosyada MA during his speech at the 2nd International Conference on Science and Technology (ICOSAT) 2017 at Discovery Hotel & Convention Ancil, Jakarta, Thursday (8/10/2017).
Rector explained that the development of science study in UIN Jakarta is also in line with the spirit of institutional transformation from IAIN in the early 2000s. This transformation wants to integrate Islam and science so that UIN Jakarta can generate Islamic professionals.
In addition to institutionalization, facilitation of the development of science and technology studies is pursued by an increase in lecturer research grants and cooperation with other universities.
