FST UIN Jakarta holds international accreditation workshop

FST, UIN News Online – In order to accelerate the accreditation rankings of its various study programs, the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) UIN Jakarta holds international accreditation workshop on Friday (05/28/2021) and presenting the Head of the Quality Assurance Unit of the Bandung Institute of Technology Pepen Arifin.

Dean of FST UIN Jakarta Nasrul Hakiem in his remarks revealed that the workshop was held as part of the faculty's efforts to improve the quality of the various study programs. FST itself, he said, already has an internationally accredited study program, namely the Information Systems Study Program which is accredited by the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance / AUN-QA).

The rest, continued Nasrul, are still accredited by BAN-PT. Therefore, he hopes that the workshop can provide the information needed to achieve the objectives of the international accreditation of the study programs.

On the same occasion, the Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis appreciated the workshop activities. She hopes that the accreditation improvement will become a focus in order to produce a better academic climate at UIN Jakarta.

Amany also encouraged faculties and study programs to increase their international accreditation status. Some of them are like The Accreditation Agency for Study Programs in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics (ASIIN) and the Accreditation Board for Engineering & Technology (ABET).

The workshop also motivated the participants, especially the department heads in order to increase their respective study programs. “Currently, we are preparing IAPS 4.0 BAN-PT, we will study this ASIIN according to the Informatics / Computer Science cluster,” said the Department head of informatic engineering study program of FST UIN Jakarta Imam Marzuki Shofi.
