FSH UIN Jakarta, ILRC, and IDLO holds paralegal basic training
Bintaro, UIN News Online – FSH UIN Jakarta, in collaboration with The Indonesian Legal Resource Center (ILRC) dan International Development Law Organization (IDLO) holds paralegal basic training at Citra Dream Hotel, Bintaro The training, which was scheduled to take place for four days, Thursday-Sunday (07/11-14), was followed by participants from various legal aid institutions (LBH) in Banten and Jakarta.
Representing the dean of FSH UIN Jakarta who was unable to attend, FSH UIN Jakarta Vice Dean for General Administration, Muhamad Maksum in his speech expressed his deepest gratitude to ILRC and IDLO who gave their trust to FSH UIN Jakarta to organize the event.
“Hopefully this paralegal training can be beneficial for the participants,” he said.
On the same occasion, ILRC Director Uli Parulian Sihombing in his presentation said that training was carried out using three approaches, including structural legal assistance, structural gender legal assistance and clinical legal education.
Inline with Uli, IDLO director Nisa Istianti also hopes that this paralegal training will also communicate with the community regarding legal issues, not only from a legal perspective, but through a structural legal, gender and clinical legal education approach.
Meanwhile, another resource person, Maksum, at the event explained about justice in the legal concept.
"When we talk about the law, but justice is in fact not there, then the law does not exist. Justice is not something final, the outcome or impact of justice is the realization of people's happiness," he said. (usa/lrf/SA)
