FSH PTKI Ready to Produce Competent Graduates

Diorama room, UIN NEWS Online – Faculty of Sharia and Law (FSH) Islamic Religious College (PTKI) is ready to produce its graduates to be a competent legal person in the scientific and professional areas. Competence is not only includes understanding of Islam, insight into the law, but also the integrity of a legal person.

Similarly, in harmony of the Academic Workshop of the Faculty of Shari'ah and the Law of Islamic Religious Higher Education in Indonesia is titled KKNI Curriculum, SKPI and Academic Cooperation held by the Faculty of Sharia and Law (FSH) UIN Jakarta in the Diorama Room and Wisma Syahida Inn UIN Jakarta on Thursday (4- 5/10/2017). The workshop was attended by deans and vice deans of Islamic Religious Higher Education College of Indonesia.

The workshop itself presents a number of important sources. Among them, there is also the Acting Director of Dikti Ministry of Religious Affairs RI. Imam Syafii M.Pd, Director of Religious Technical Officer Development BADILAG Dr. H.M. Fauzan SH., MH, Head Unit and Quality Assurance Academic Faculty of Law University of Indonesia Dr. Yeni Salma Barlinti S.H. MH. In addition, the workshop was also attended by Vice Rector of Academic UIN Jakarta Dr. Fadhilah Suralaga M.Si, Dean of FSH UIN Jakarta Asep Saepudin Jahar Ph.D, Vice Dean of Academic FSH UIN Jakarta Dr. Euis Amalia MA.

Representing the rector, Fadhilah, reminded of the framework of the Study Program (Prodi) and the Faculty to give birth to the graduates according to the Indonesian National Qualification Framework (KKNI). "So the implementation of the education system that we apply to each level should include the process that builds the character and personality of Indonesian people," she added.

Quoting Presidential Regulation Number 8 Year 2012 on KKN mentioned KKNI is a framework of competency qualification that can sync, equalize and integrate between the field of education and the field of job training and work experience in the framework of giving recognition of work competence in accordance with the structure of work in various sectors. Thus, FSH graduates must have the ability in academic aspect and readiness to enter in professional area.

On the same occasion Asep revealed that the quality of graduate learning from FSH-PTKI also continues to be done in line with the increasingly dynamic needs. Improvement aims to print graduates according to graduate competency standards that include attitude, knowledge, and skills. "So that PTKI FSH graduates can compete and not afraid to compete with graduates of general law faculty graduates," he said.

On the other side, Fauzan added, so that FSH can strengthen the competence of its graduate judges. According to him, the competences that must be owned by a judge are basic competencies such as national insight, general intelligence, and personality intelligence. "For legal competence must have knowledge about judicial and judicial power, formal law and material law, and interviews to find the appropriate typology and gestures of judges according to the legal areas," he said.
