FSH Holds the General Studies Concerning Humanitarian Action

FSH Theater, UIN NEWS Online -Faculty of Sharia and Law (FSH) UIN Jakarta held a public stadium with the theme of Islam, Humanity and World Peace: Reflection and Action of Humanity Crisis Rohingya. The event which was held on Tuesday (26/09) was held in FSH Theater Room 2nd floor.

To the UIN NEWS Online, the event committee said, that the purpose of the event is to Know and understand the background of violence in Rohingya.

"Most importantly, we can take appropriate action to help the Rohingyas, and be able to provide insight into the Rohingyas massacre," he said.

The event was officially opened by the Dean of FSH Dr Asep Saepudin Jahar MA, presenting several speakers, Minako Sakai PhD (Southeast Asian Social Investigator Coordinator), Dr. Amelia Fauziyah (Director of Social Trust Fund of UIN Jakarta), and Dr. Irfan Sauqi Beik (Director of CIBEST ).

The Dean appreciates the implementation of the event. He hopes that what is a common goal can be achieved smoothly.  According to Asep, this activity is a manifestation of our concern for others.

In the same venue, Minako said in her delivery that there is a need for supervision of aid distribution activities to disaster areas and conflicts.

"In order to have a harmonious relationship between the aid giver and the receiver, it will help create world peace," Minako said.

This is reinforced by the exposure of Amalia Fauziah, who gets help received by the wrong side, will lead to new disasters and conflicts.

"So, to get help, it is necessary to observe in advance and in-depth assessment so that aid is received by those who need it," said Amalia.

Irfan Sauqi, as a resource person representing Baznas said, for humanitarian program, baznas has a special agency, namely Baznas Response Disaster (BTB).

"BTB as an extension of Baznas hands, until now has channeled humanitarian aid to Myanmar," said Sauqi.

Monitoring results of UIN Online NEWS at the location is seen; this event is solemn and followed by the entire civitas academica FSH UIN Jakarta, which are not less than 300 participants. The students were also enthusiastic to ask some questions to the speakers. (usa-rs)
