FSH Debate Team Wins First Place in Indonesia's Islamic Law Debate Competition
Rectorate, UIN News Online – The Debate Team from Moot Court Community (MCC) Faculty of Sharia and Law (FSH), consisting of juanita Bil Atia (student of the Islamic Criminal Law Study Program), Syifa Mumtaza (student of the Family Law Study Program), and Ridha Hayati (student of the Legal Studies Program) won the Islamic Law Debate Competition among State Islamic Religious Universities (PTKIN) students throughout Indonesia, which was held by the Sharia Faculty of IAIN Batusangkar, West Sumatra.
The virtual Islamic Law Debate Competition with the theme "Penguatan Hukum Islam pada Fakultas Syariah" was attended by 58 PTKIN throughout Indonesia. In the final of the Debate Competition which was held on Thursday (07/29/2021), the UIN Jakarta Debate Team managed to become the first winner, the second place was won by IAIN Batusangkar and the third place was won by IAIN Palangkaraya.
The Dean of FSH Ahmad Tholabi Kharlie appreciated the achievements of the UIN Jakarta debate team. He really appreciates the hard work of the team that has brought the good name of UIN Jakarta, especially FSH.
“Hopefully this achievement can be maintained and improved in the future,” said Tholabi.
In line with tholabi, the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni of FSH Maskufah said that the FSH debate team was able to defeat the opponent with extensive arguments and knowledge, both in the field of Islamic law and general law.
“This proves that the FSH students not only mastered Islamic law but also the general law as well,” said Maskufah.
