From undergraduate to doctoral degrees, these are the best graduates of the 141st UIN Jakarta Graduation Ceremony.
Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN Online News – UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta officially inaugurated its best graduates during the 141st Graduation Ceremony for Undergraduate, Master’s, and Doctoral Programs for the 2025/2026 Academic Year, held at the Harun Nasution Auditorium on Saturday (September 5, 2026). Carrying the theme “Confirming Innovative, Integrity-Driven, and Human-Centric Graduates,” UIN Jakarta recognized students who achieved outstanding academic results and submitted exceptional scholarly works across various degree levels and disciplines.
In total, the 141st Graduation Ceremony conferred degrees upon 3,154 graduates across various educational levels. During the first-day ceremony on Saturday (September 5, 2026), 789 graduates from the Faculty of Educational Sciences (FITK), the Faculty of Islamic Studies (FDI), and the Graduate School participated in the inauguration. Among the attendees, five graduates were recognized as the top achievers in their respective degree programs and academic fields.
At the doctoral level, the top graduate award was conferred upon Nunuk Hidayati from the Graduate School's Doctoral Program in Islamic Studies, graduating with a cumulative GPA of 3.79 and earning *Cum Laude* honors. A similar achievement was recorded by Leti Latifah at the master’s level, who emerged as the best graduate of the Graduate School's Master’s Program in Islamic Studies with a GPA of 3.82 and *Cum Laude* distinction. Meanwhile, from the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Fra Setiarizky was named the top graduate of the Master’s Program in Islamic Studies with a GPA of 3.91 and *Cum Laude* honors.
At the undergraduate level, top honors went to Abu Bakar Shiddiq from the Educational Management Study Program, Faculty of Educational Sciences, who graduated with a perfect 4.00 GPA and earned *Cum Laude* honors. Additionally, Salsabila Syalwani was named the top graduate from the Faculty of Islamic Studies' Undergraduate Program in Islamic Studies, achieving a GPA of 3.94 with *Cum Laude* distinction.
Representing the distinguished cohort of top graduates, Abu Bakar Shiddiq was selected to deliver the valedictory address on behalf of the graduating class during the 141st Graduation Ceremony. In his address, he reflected on the educational journey undertaken by the graduates and the responsibilities they now inherit upon completing their studies.
Abu Bakar emphasized that experiences inside the classroom and direct engagement with the community fostered a shared realization that education extends far beyond academic achievements alone. Speaking as an education major, he highlighted the vital importance of preserving human-centered values amidst rapid technological advancement. In his view, technological progress can never fully supplant the human element in building meaningful community connections.
“No matter how advanced technology becomes in this digital era, the empathy, wisdom, and dedication of a teacher can never be replaced,” he stated.
The journey toward graduation, Abu Bakar continued, was not always smooth. Students navigated numerous hurdles throughout their studies—ranging from demanding academic workloads and continuous revisions to the aching nostalgia for family while living away from home. Yet, these challenges formed an integral part of the process that led the graduates to this milestone. “Amidst all those difficulties, we chose to persevere,” he reflected.
In addition to recognizing the five top graduates, the 141st Graduation Ceremony presented a special award for Best Undergraduate Thesis in Humanities/Islamic Studies. This honor was awarded to Az-Zahra Fauziah from the Faculty of Islamic Studies for her thesis titled *"Nadhariyyatul Wakalah fil Fiqhil Islami Dirosah Tahliliyyah fi Aqdi Khidmah Jastip"* (Agency Theory in Islamic Jurisprudence: An Analytical Study of Personal Shopper Service Contracts).
This award capped off the recognition of academic excellence during the 141st Commencement. Beyond these personal achievements, the graduates' educational journeys were deeply anchored in the unwavering support of their families. In his closing remarks, Abu Bakar expressed profound gratitude to the families who accompanied the graduates throughout their academic endeavors.
“The presence of our parents and families has been our greatest source of strength,” he noted.
That enduring support formed the bedrock of a long journey for the graduates, ultimately culminating in their formal inauguration as alumni of UIN Jakarta.
