From Online to Onsite Event: UIN Jakarta Welcomes 2,401 Freshmen on PBAK 2025 Day Two at Harun Nasution Auditorium

Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN Online News — The second day of the Introduction to Academic Culture and Student Affairs (PBAK) 2025 at UIN Jakarta was held on Wednesday (August 27, 2025) at the Harun Nasution Auditorium. The program welcomed 2,401 freshmen from five faculties: Faculty of Educational Sciences (FITK), Faculty of Ushuluddin (FU), Faculty of Da’wah and Communication Sciences (FDIKOM), Faculty of Medicine (FK), and Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES), divided into two sessions.

This followed the first day of PBAK, which had involved the remaining faculties.

The setting successfully sparked enthusiasm among many students. Putri Nur Khalifah, a freshman from the Educational Management program (FITK), expressed her excitement: "I’m really happy today. Yesterday was still online, but now I get to meet so many new friends. It feels more real to be a UIN Jakarta student, and the materials were very eye-opening," she said enthusiastically.

Similarly, Muhammad Syafi’i, a new student in the Social Studies Education program (FITK), found the day’s sessions enlightening, particularly regarding drug abuse prevention.

"I think today’s material is very insightful, especially about the dangers of drugs. It makes me more aware that as students, we need to take care of ourselves and stay focused on our studies to achieve great things," he shared.

Fahimah Marwa Taqiyyah, a freshman from the Qur’anic and Tafsir Studies program (Faculty of Ushuluddin), shared her hopes after the orientation: "I hope the PBAK materials will serve as a valuable foundation for us. I'm going to be more enthusiastic in my studies, active in organizations, and stay away from drugs. I'm also considering to apply the fixed and growth mindset principles introduced by Prof. Abdul Mu’ti to grow better throughout my university life," she delivered.

Through this second-day program, freshmen not only gained valuable knowledge but also built relationships and a sense of belonging. PBAK 2025 thus marks the beginning of their academic journey as part of the UIN Jakarta community.
