FPSI UIN Jakarta Holds Book Review and Public Lecture

FPSI, UIN News Online – The Faculty of Psychology (FPSI) UIN Jakarta in collaboration with Raja Grafindo Persada holds Psychology for Daily Life book review and public lecture entitled “Implementasi Psikologi Pendidikan dalam Kehidupan”, Thursday, (3/16). Present in the event, Deputy Rector of Academic Affairs Dr. Fadhilah Suralaga, M.Si, and book author Eko Aditya Meinarno, S. Psi., M.Si.

This event is officiated by the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology Prof. Dr. Abdul Mujib, M. Ag., M. Si andthe representative from Raja Grafindo Persada Sri Murni S. Si. This event is participated by civitas academica of FPSI UIN Jakarta.

In his presentation, Eko said that if we mapped the theme in Psychology for Daily Life textbook, we will find an important scheme for educational psychology which is consists of the lecturers, teaching preparations and teaching participants. Lecturers will be the role model for his/her students, lecturers should be able to see their students, and lecturers must be adapted with technological advancement.

Furthermore, Fadhillah in her presentation explained that the problems which are commonly experienced by most of teenagers are their unpreparedness when facing the puberty, relationship problems with their parents and other adults, problem with their peers, sexual behavior and relationships with the other gender and study and career problems.

According to her, the solution to the problems experienced by the teenager can be done by giving them a good exemplary, education and training as well as external support in the form of social supports and internal improvements by developing a positive self-concept, increasing self-efficiencies, optimistic and always willing to take a risk.
