Fostering human trafficking victims, Balai Watunas Mulya Jaya Teams Up with BPI and Kesos UIN Jakarta

East Jakarta, UIN News Online – Islamic Extension Guidance Study Program (BPI) and Social Welfare Study Program (Kesos) UIN Jakarta agreed collaborated with the Watunas Mulya Jaya Jakarta Social Rehabilitation Center to foster former sex workers and  traficcking victims in East Jakarta, Wednesday (01/30/2019).

The cooperation agreement was conducted with the signing of the MoU between the Watunas Mulya Jaya Jakarta Social Rehabilitation Center and its partners, including the BPI Study Program and Social Welfare Study Program UIN Jakarta. The two study programs were represented by the head of their respective study programs, Rini Laili Prihatini, M.Sc and Lisma Dyawati Fuaidah.

“Alhamdulillah, BPI Study Program and Social Sciences Study Program UIN Jakarta officially became partners in cooperation partners with the Watunas Mulya Jaya Social Rehabilitation Center,” said Rini.

According to Rini, this collaboration will provide three benefits; research opportunities for lecturers and students, community service, and counseling practicum activities as well as the social work of the students of both study programs.

“In the aspect of research, this cooperation will provide scientific development opportunities. On the side of community service, the role of increasing social work training and religious counseling and spiritual therapy,” she said

It is known that the Watunas Mulya Jaya Jakarta Social Rehabilitation Center, which is located in Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta, is one of several training and training centers for former sex workers and human trafficking. (usa)
