FLAT UIN Jakarta holds International Week of French Language and Francophonie 2019
Diorama room, UIN News Online – Foreign Languages Association (FLAT) UIN Jakarta, in collaboration with the Center for International Cooperation (CIC) UIN Jakarta, and Institut Francais Indonesia, holds International Week of French Language and Francophonie (Semaine de la Francophonie 2019), Tuesday (03/19/2019) at diorama room, campus I of UIN Jakarta.
The event, which is a joint event between Francophonie embassies and three universities in Indonesia (UIN Jakarta, Universitas Indonesia and Universitas Negeri Jakarta) presents Emma Teytaud (France Native), Syarah Andriani and Iwan (IFI Wijaya), Nur Fitria (Campus France), and Khamami Zada (scholarship winner at Université de Perpignan, France), as well as Lecturers at UIN Jakarta as speakers.
Also present in the event, Vice Rector for Student Affairs Masri Mansoer and Vice Rector for Cooperation Andi Faisal Bakti, and all academic community of UIN Jakarta.
Masri Mansoer in his remarks fully supported this positive activity. According to Masri, in addition to broadening students' insight about the French culture, this activity also aims to foster the interest of students to continue their education in France.
“Hopefully this activity provides a positive contribution to students and fosters their enthusiasm in learning the French language,” said Masri.
One of the organizing committee member and event participant, Lu’luil Maknun to UIN News Online admits that she become more motivated in strengthening her foreign language skills, especially French language. She is also interested to continue her study in French University.
“This event is held in order to introduce French language and culture to students. Furthermore, France is a good place for an international study experience,” she said. (usa)
