FKIK UIN Jakarta Holds the 1st ICHLaS

FKIK, UIN News Online – Center for Research and Community Outreach (LP2M) UIN Jakarta in collaboration with Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences (FKIK) held the 1st International Integrative Conferences on Health, Life and Social Sciences (ICHLaS), Saturday-Sunday (11/11-12/2017), at Titan Conference Center, Bintaro.

The event entitled The Integration between Health, Life and Social related Islamic Sciences to Improve Health Awareness in the Community, was attended by researchers, experts, lecturers, and interdisciplinary clinicians related to Medicine, Health, Pharmaceutical, Nursing and Social Sciences.

Present at this event, speakers from within and outside the country whose scientific concerns related to health. Among them are; Prof. Sakorn Pornprasert MSc PhD (Thailand), Prof. Eun-Kee Park PhD MASc (Korea), Daniel Ken Inaoka PhD (Japan), Prof. Dr. Nasir bin Mohamad PhD (Malaysia), and Dr. Takaya Sakura who also originated from Japan.

The event which was attended by at least 150 participants, was opened by the Head of LP2M Prof. Dr. M Arskal Salim GP MA PhD, who represented the Rector of UIN Jakarta Prof Dr Dede Rosyada MA. Arskal also became the keynote speaker at this event.

In his remarks, Arskal expressed his gratitude to all participants and organizing committee that has given a new color in international publications, because ICHLaS is the first seminar in Indonesia that tries to integrate heatlth, life, and social related to Islamic sciences.

“I highly appreciate this international seminar, I hope this seminar can realize the vision of LP2M Scientific Publications that fit the theme as above,” said Arskal.

In line with Arskal, Prof. Dr. Nasir bin Mohamad PhD, in his material exposure prologue, praised the organizers who have taken the initiative to organize an international seminar entitled health integration with Islam. He hoped the seminar themed the integration of science and Islam will be more widely held in near future.

“I am very enthusiastic about the invitation of this international seminar which tries to integrate health and Islaman aspects where the number of such publication is considered very minimal,” he said.

To UIN News Online, chairman of the Organizing seminar Chris Adhiyanto, M Biomed PhD said, this seminar, collected at least 74 abstracts from internal FKIK UIN participants and some other universities in Indonesia.

In the same place, the Steering Committee team Dr. Hari Hendarto SpPD PhD, KEMD FINASIM and Dr. Flori Ratna Sari PhD said, another purpose of the international seminar is the research collaboration between FKIK UIN and foreign institutions with the compilation of three pre-research proposals. (usa)
