FK UIN Jakarta-Ministry of Health establish cooperation

Jakarta, UIN News Online – In the framework of improving public health services in order to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS) 2,3,5 and 6, the Faculty of Medicine (FK) of UIN Jakarta and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia establish cooperation in the form of Healthy Islamic Boarding Schools.

This was stated by Dean of FK UIN Jakarta Hari Hendarto during the Forum meeting held by the Directorate General of Public Health, Ministry of Health of Indonesia, Monday-Wednesday (03/04-06/2019) at Harris Hotel, Tebet, South Jakarta.

Hari in his speech revealed that improving the quality of the santri's health was considered very necessary, so that through this collaboration, the health of santri would be to be maintained optimally.

“Through this collaboration, the FK UIN Jakarta and the Indonesian Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Religion will continue to coordinate in improving the quality of santri's health,” said Hari.

As information, the forum agreed to hold activities that will be implemented in the near future and included in the development of the Healthy Islamic Boarding School Model. Among other things, training and fostering the santri husada (santri who are able to drive healthy living in the pesantren) and training on healthy canteens and healthy kitchens.
