FK UIN Jakarta holds Hippocratic Oath

Ciputat, UIN News Online – Faculty of Medicine (FK) UIN Jakarta holds the 33rd Hippocratic Oath, Saturday (04/11/2020). The oath taking itself was carried out through a teleconference following the social distancing policy adopted by the government in line with the Covid-19 outbreak. Present in the teleconference, Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis, Dean of FK UIN Jakarta Hari Hendarto.

Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis in her remarks hope that the physician graduating from UIN Jakarta can devote themselves as the foremost pillars in maintaining public health. According to Amany, the role of physician is absolutely necessary, especially when the public is faced with a situation like today, where the distribution of the Covid 19 pandemic massively attacks the community.

Furthermore, the Rector also reminded all academic community of UIN Jakarta to always be optimistic, although they must be vigilant in facing the spread of the virus, which was first discovered in Wuhan, China. She also expressed her gratitude and high appreciation to the parents, family, local government, and the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affaris for the trust given to the FK UIN Jakarta.

Meanwhile, Dean of FK UIN Jakarta Hari Hendarto hope that the physician graduating from UIN Jakarta can maintain and carry out the oath they are taken. According to Hari, being a physician is an honored call to protecting the public health.

“Congratulations to those of you who have officially become doctors.  As an alumnus of the Faculty of Medicine UIN Jakarta, you must be able to maintain the good name of your alma mater. Make this profession as a means to serve the community,” said Hari. (usa/zm)
