FJT UIN Jakarta holds virtual journalist training

Ciputat, UIN News Online – The Fikes Journalist Team (FJT) holds the second session of virtual journalist training virtually after the first training session last Sunday (04/25/2021). The training which aims to hone news writing skills takes place through zoom meeting application on Saturday (01/05/2021).

This virtual training featured a resource person from Zaenal Muttaqin from UIN News Online who has expertise in the field journalism. According to Zaenal, news is a story that contains information on certain events with the actor, object, place and time.

“To write a good news story, we must include six news elements, namely Who, What, Where, Why, When, and How (5W + 1H). In addition, writers must also be able to understand news writing techniques, namely research, observation, drafting questions, interview reports, and transcripts,” said Zaenal.

Zaenal also emphasized that there are several additional points in making news in order to produce interesting and quality news. “News must also have values, news structure, news writing patterns in order to produce interesting and quality news,” he added. (usa/mf)
