Five UIN Jakarta Students Selected for KKN Joint Program with BKS-PTN West 2024

UIN Jakarta, UIN Online News - Five UIN Jakarta students have been successfully selected to participate in the Joint Work Study Program with the State University Cooperation Agency in the Western Region of Indonesia (BKS-PTN West) in Samosir and Karo, North Sumatra. This news was conveyed through a post on the Instagram account of the Community Service Center (PPM) UIN Jakarta, @ppm_uinjakarta, on Wednesday (27/03/2024).

The five students are Maulida Fitria from the Faculty of Adab and Humanities, Tanzilul Rahmah Al Lailah from the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Ahmad Lutfi Tanjung from the Faculty of Sharia and Law, Albri Anggara from the Faculty of Medicine, and Trisna Yudistira from the Faculty of Ushuludin.

KKN BKS-PTN West is a National Scale Work Study Program involving students from various State Universities in the Western Region of Indonesia, including Java and Sumatra. Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) is the host of the KKN BKS-PTN West program this year. These students will collaborate to carry out various social activities for the communities around the KKN location.

One of the participants of the Joint KKN BKS-PTN West, Maulida Fitria, stated that she chose to participate in this KKN because she wants to contribute socially and build new relationships. "I want to contribute to communities outside of Java and learn about Indonesian culture. I also want to meet students from other regions of Indonesia to learn languages, cultures, and traditions," she said.

Maulida also explained that the five UIN Jakarta students will be placed in different posts, along with students from other State Universities. Therefore, a detailed work program will be prepared after the formation of the KKN groups.

The proposed work program by Maulida includes environmental, language, cultural, and community harmony areas. She also plans to develop educational programs for the elderly and pre-school children.

The Head of the Community Service Center (PPM) UIN Jakarta, Ade Rina Farida, M.Si., explained that the selection criteria for participants in the KKN Joint Program with BKS-PTN West include personality, insight, leadership skills, understanding of religious moderation and nationalism, skills, and physical readiness.

PPM UIN Jakarta hopes that the participants can make positive contributions to themselves, UIN Jakarta, and the wider community.
