FISIP UIN Jakarta Receives Visit from MAN Insan Cendekia Ogan Komering Ilir

Bahtiar Effendy Auditorium, UIN News Online — The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at UIN Jakarta receives visit form Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Insan Cendekia Ogan Komering Ilir Palembang (MAN IC OKI) students on Monday, July 29, 2024.

The visit to FISIP UIN Jakarta was part of a series of events organized by MAN IC OKI to visit several prestigious universities in Indonesia. This agenda was specifically designed for 12th-grade students who are set to graduate in 2025.

Afriansyah, M.Pd., Vice Principal for Public Relations at MAN IC OKI, stated that one of the purposes of visiting FISIP UIN was to provide students with accurate information and inspire them to pursue their dream universities.

"We are visiting renowned universities in Indonesia, including UIN Jakarta, to ensure that our students receive comprehensive and accurate information directly from the university," he said.

He also mentioned that several MAN IC OKI alumni have successfully enrolled in FISIP UIN Jakarta and have achieved notable accomplishments.

"Several alumni from MAN IC OKI have been admitted to FISIP UIN Jakarta. One of the most memorable is Amirah Syahirah, who received a student exchange scholarship from the Ministry of Religious Affairs to the United States last year," Afriansyah added.

Dr. Iding Rosidin, M.Si., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at FISIP UIN Jakarta, presented an overview of FISIP and its programs.

"FISIP was established in 2009 and has received an 'A' accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) since its inception," he said.

He explained the future plans of FISIP UIN Jakarta, which include international-level programs such as a double degree program with the University of Queensland, Australia.

"We have a good relationship with the University of Queensland, Australia, as several of our faculty members are alumni of that university. The plan is to launch a double degree program with the University of Queensland next year," he stated.

Additionally, Iding highlighted other strengths of FISIP UIN Jakarta, including its reputation for producing high-quality political analysts.

"In the media and journalism circles, FISIP UIN Jakarta is one of the primary sources for information. Journalists often come here first before going elsewhere. Many prominent political analysts have come from FISIP UIN Jakarta," Iding concluded. (Nadhira Rahmah/Fauziah M./Raihan Lail Ramadhan)
