FISIP UIN Jakarta Organized Studium Generale

FISIP, UIN News Online - Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UIN Jakarta held a general studium with the theme of "Demokrasi Di Indonesia: Upaya Menghadirkan Pemilu yang Bersih dan Jujur" on Monday (10/15/2018) at the Madya Hall of FISIP UIN Jakarta.

Present as speakers at the event were Chusnul Mar’iyah PhD, and Adi Prayitno MSi (Lecturer at FISIP UIN Jakarta) as the moderator. Also present at the same time to open the event, Head of Political Science Study Program Dr. Iding Rosyidin MSi.

In his speech, Iding appreciated the running of the event, hoping that the results of the event could be realized by all participants. By being an agen that make sure the election will run clean, honest and fair.

Meanwhile, Chusnul in her presentation  emphasized that in a democratic system stating a public opinion constitutionally protected there should be no prohibition that limits the people to express their opinions. She also mention other political assets besides the money, such as the reach of organizations, communication channels, party candidates or cadres, ideas and programs and track records.

"Elections in democracy as a means of citizen participation to evaluate the political leadership of officials during a period by giving sanctions in the form of rejection or support," said Chusnul.

She also hopes that students will be able to supervise election activities in 2019 by playing an active role and holding together and supervising the KPU.

For information, the event will be made into the annual FISIP UIN Jakarta agenda in the form of panel discussions. Then, at the end of the presentation of the material, a question and answer session was opened. It seems that pro-active students ask the speakers and are enthusiastic from the beginning to follow this general study. (usa)
