FISIP UIN Jakarta Holds Studium Generale on Infrastructure Development
FISIP, UIN News Online – Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UIN Jakarta held a studium generale discussing the Structure of Building Infrastructure Development Culture in Building Urban Culture on October 18th, 2018 at 09.00 - 12.00 WIB at Hall of FISIP UIN Jakarta.
Peresent in the event Dr. Yayat Supriatna, MSP as sthe speaker and Saifudin Asrori, M.Sc as the event moderator. The series of events was opened by the Head of Sociology Study Program, Dr. Cucu Nurhayati, M.Sc. the studium generale event is the annual agenda of FISIP and takes the form of a panel discussion.
Dr. Yayat Supriatna in his presentation emphasized that a city can be said to be progressing if the community is well served by the government. He also touched on components that influence people's behavior, such as structure, culture and social processes. In the social aspect, the community is more familiar with information technology and more oriented to consumption than production.
"In the aspect of political economy, transactions and economic exchanges that are controlled by desire and wants, not needs," said Yayat. Industrial power creates the desire of consumers who are never satisfied. The market has a big role, creates a new market (trend) or follows what is already there. Whatever is traded, including human.
After the speaker gave a presentation, a question and answer session were opened for the students who wish to ask. Students are very active in asking the speakers and are enthusiastic from the beginning to follow this event. (usa)
