FISIP Student Won Calligraphy Contest
Merak, UIN NEWS Online— Student of Faculty of Political and Social Sciences (FISIP) UIN Jakarta Ahmad Faris Fauzan, won the second place at Cilegon city regional calligraphy contest. The contest held in the event of the 17th  Musabaqoh Tilawatil Quran City of Cilegon, Banten, was held for five days, Monday – Friday (27 February-3 March/ 2017), at Hotel Mangku Putra Merak, Banten.
In the contest held regularly every three years, the contest is participated by eight sub-districts in the city of Cilegon. While Aris itself represent district Ciwandan that was his home territory.
To UIN NEWS, Faris expressed his happiness for his victory. Because this is his first time participating in such prestigious contest.
“I’m very grateful to be able give a good result for districts Ciwandan and could also bring the good name of UIN Jakarta. I've tried to give my best for this, and I am proud of the result despite the second place I got,†said the 20 years old boy.
He also added, besides he loves political sciences, by taking International Relations major, since he was in Junior High, he already liked arts, especially calligraphy.
 “I keep training my talent in art since junior high, I was learning and training my talent after school,†he explained.
For info, by his achievement, Cilegon City Government directly asked Ahmad Faris Fauzan to be the representative of Cilegon city to participate in Banten regional calligraphy contest that will be held in next April. (rs).
