Ciputat, UIN News Online – The Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) UIN Jakarta held a Virtual Introduction to Academic and Campus Culture (PBAK) for new students, Friday-Saturday, (09/11-12/2020). Chairperson of the PBAK FIKES 2020 Tri Murti in her speech said that the PBAK is the first step that must be taken by all freshmen in UIN Jakarta.

“Through this activity, new students will be introduced to the academic cultures that apply at FIKES UIN Jakarta,” she said

She also added, with the PBAK activity, freshmen can get to know more about the online lecture system that must be mastered properly in order to get maximum results. She also explained, the PBAK theme that was carried out this year was The Greatest Cranial (Towards Personalities with Good Characteristics, Critical Thinking, Creative Innovation, to Collaborate in the Health Field).

“In health terms, the cranial is an important part of the head area which acts as a control center in thinking, acting, regulating homeostasis and body balance,” she explained.

It is hoped that new students can become one of the most important parts of collaboration in the health sector and have good characteristics, critical thinking, creative innovation, and can collaborate in the health sector.

Meanwhile, the Dean of FIKES, Zilhadia, who had the opportunity to open the activity, said that new students must be proud after being accepted at FIKES UIN Jakarta.

“This is because almost all courses at FIKES UIN Jakarta integrate Health Sciences with Islamic values. You will study the history of nurses, medicine in the Islamic society, halal analysis, and learn about Muslim physicians that you don't get anywhere else,” she said.

She also added that FIKES lecturers were university graduates with national and international reputation, with various quality doctoral and master degrees. “FIKES lecturers are not mere lecturers,” she added.

Zilhadia also reminded that apart from attending lectures, freshmen were encouraged to be active in organizations to foster self and character to interact with others.

“By being active in various organizations, students can develop their talents and potential, but don't forget your main task, which is to study. Don't forget to ask for the blessings of your parents before studying, because their prayers are the key to your success,” said Zilhadia. (usa/mf)
