Fikes UIN Jakarta Holds Studium Generale on the Role of Pharmacist in Infectious Disease Treatment

Fikes, UIN News Online –  The Faculty of Health Sciences (Fikes) UIN Jakarta holds virtual Studium Generale on the Role of Pharmacist in Infectious Disease Treatment on Wednesday, (09/28/2022) through Zoom Application. This activity aims to open the horizons of students and lecturers of Pharmacy department at Fikes UIN Jakarta regarding the role of pharmacist in Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in infectious diseases and the use of antibiotics.

The Studium Generale activities are conducted bilingually (Indonesian and English) and are attended by students and lecturers of the Pharmacy Study Program. The activity was opened by the Dean of Fikes UIN Jakarta, Zilhadia. In the opening, she expressed her hope for students to be active and communicative during the Studium Generale.

There were two speakers  in this activit. The first speaker came from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Andalas University, Yelly Oktavia Sari. She delivered presentation on the role of clinical pharmacists in Indonesia in handling infectious diseases. The discussion and question and answer session went smoothly and communicatively.

While the second speaker from Gulf Medical University, Syed Wasif Gillani discussed cases of infectious diseases and analysis in determining the use of antibiotics. This material is delivered through discussion and QnA session. (fikes/mr/d/usa)
