FIKES UIN Jakarta Emphasizes Integration of Character Building, Spirituality, and Health in Ramadhan Preparation Program

FIKES, UIN News Online — The Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held a Spiritual Strengthening, Health Improvement, and Character Development program for lecturers and education staff in preparation for Ramadhan 1447 H. The event took place at the Prof. MK Tadjudin Auditorium on Wednesday (11/02/2026).

The event was attended by Dean of FIKES Prof. Dr. apt. Zilhadia, M.Si., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Nurmailis, M.Si., apt., Vice Dean for General Administration Dr. Yuli Amran, M.K.M., Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Cooperation Ns. Uswatun Khasanah, S.Kep., MNS., Head of Administration Office Encep Dimyati, S.Ag., M.A., as well as program heads, lecturers, and the entire academic community of FIKES UIN Jakarta.

In her remarks, Dean Zilhadia emphasized that Ramadhan is not merely an annual ritual but an important moment for personal and professional self-improvement. She noted that values cultivated during Ramadhan such as discipline, patience, responsibility, and self-control can significantly influence the work ethic of academic and administrative staff.

“Ramadhan is not just an annual routine, but a moment to improve the quality of ourselves. Values such as discipline, patience, responsibility, and self-control trained during Ramadhan will greatly influence our future work ethic,” she said.

Chair of the organizing committee, Julia Herniwati, S.Kom., M.M., stated that the program serves as the opening of a series of preparatory activities for Ramadhan. She explained that the Tarhib Ramadhan program will continue with three additional sessions featuring Islamic scholars as speakers to strengthen spiritual understanding, Islamic values, and role modeling within the academic community.

One of the main sessions featured professional psychologist Dra. Wulansari, Psi., Psychologist, who highlighted the importance of maintaining family harmony through effective communication, fair role distribution, and balanced time management between worship and work.

“Building family harmony requires effective communication, fair division of roles, and balanced time management between quality time with family, worship, and work. These three elements are essential in maintaining life balance, not only during Ramadhan but also beyond it,” she explained.

She also shared practical steps such as performing worship activities together as a family, creating a spiritually supportive home environment, and maintaining both physical and mental health during fasting.

The event also included a farewell and welcome ceremony for staff members who entered retirement or were reassigned to other units. The Dean expressed appreciation for their dedication and contributions during their service at FIKES.

On the same occasion, FIKES officially launched its new faculty anthem (Mars FIKES), symbolizing renewed spirit and institutional identity in achieving excellence and competitiveness.

The Tarhib Ramadhan series will continue until the end of March 2026 and will conclude with a Halal Bihalal gathering for the FIKES academic community.

Through this initiative, FIKES UIN Jakarta aims to ensure that Ramadhan is not only a moment of personal spiritual enhancement but also a starting point for strengthening collective commitment in improving performance, service quality, and institutional contribution to society.
