FIKES makes Kampung Santri in Tangerang as an icon of UIN Jakarta
Ciputat, UIN News Online – Faculty of Health Science (FIKES) UIN Jakarta holds the Kampung Santri program as a Community Based Research Strategy in controlling the spread of Covid-19, Saturday (08/01/2020) in Tangerang Regency.
As the vanguard in maintaining public health, FIKES UIN Jakarta is committed to controlling the spread of Covid-19 which focuses on the upstream sector, namely how to maintain public health by improving and enhancing clean and healthy living habits.
The person in charge of the Kampung Santri Program, Karyadi, explained that this activity was carried out through an inter-professional collaboration strategy through a stage I approach pattern with the concept of community based research.
“This strategy is implemented as one of the most effective strategies because it involves a combination of research and community service by involving local communities, such as Forum Silaturahmi Putra/I Tangerang (FSPT), Alumni 88 SMP Tigarksa, Alumni Nebal 91, PPNI, Rumah Suna, Ambulance 118 and IAKMI,” he said.
In addition, he continued, this activity takes the icon of the Kampung Santri which adapts to the identity of UIN Jakarta as an Islamic university, so that it is hoped that it can evoke the santri culture in the Tangerang Regency area.
Based on Karyadi's information, in its implementation, students carry out activities with systematic steps, such as secondary issuance excavation, primary issue exploration through FGD, instrument making, instrument testing, data collection, and continued with problem priority determination and action plans to be implemented with the community and government.
“The series of activities are carried out over a period of one and a half months. Starting from July to mid August 2020,” he said.
Meanwhile, Dean of FIKES UIN Jakarta Zilhadia revealed that she will fully support these activities. “FIKES students must be introduced to various problems as early as possible before they become real health workers,” she said.
On the same occasion, Cisoka Sub-district Head Ahmad Hapid , accompanied by the Secretary of Cisoka Sub-district Cucu Abdurrosyied expressed their support and appreciation for this activity.
“Hopefully in the future UIN Jakarta can make our area as a coaching area,” said Ahmad.
