FIDIKOM in collaboration with JATTI and MORA holds Professional Umrah and Hajj Certification program
Rectorate, UIN News online – Faculty of Da’wa and Communication Science (FIDIKOM) UIN Jakarta, in collaboration with the Directorate General of Hajj and Umrah (PHU) of the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs (MORA) and the Indonesian Middle East Alumni Network (JATTI) of DKI Jakarta holds the 4th batch of Professional Haj and Umrah Advisors Certification on January 12-20, 2021. The event is conducted online and offline and attended by 63 participants from various Haj and Umrah guidance groups, including travel agents who organize Hajj and Umrah.
The opening of the event was held online at the Fidikom building, Tuesday (01/12/2021) and attended by Acting Director General of PHU Oman Fathurahman, Chairman of JATTI DKI Jakarta Arafi Mughni, Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis, Dean of Fidikom UIN Jajarta Suparto, Head of DKI Jakarta Ministry of Religious Affairs Regional Office Saiful Mujab, and certification assessors.
In his speech, Arafi Mughni expressed his gratitude to all parties who have worked together in organizing the event. He hopes that the participants will gain comprehensive knowledge about Hajj and Umrah guidance, so that the congregation will understand the whole process of the Hajj, especially in terms of fiqh.
On the same occasion, Rector of UIN Jakarta Amany Lubis said that Indonesia has the largest number of pilgrims in the world. In addition, Indonesia also has good Hajj management. Therefore, Amany also hopes that the efforts in maintaining the quality of Hajj management in Indonesia can be improved.
“We must maintain the Hajj management quality, including the guides. They must be professionals in serving the congregation,” said Amany.
Meanwhile, Saiful Mujab said that the state presence in overseeing the process of the Hajj and Umrah through the certification program is a concrete evidence that the state always provides services to the community from various aspects, including in the Hajj and Umrah guidance.
Meanwhile, Oman Fathurahman revealed that the government has guaranteed the activities of the Hajj and Umrah, both before leaving and when returning to the country. This is in accordance with what is stipulated in Law Number 8 of 2019 concerning the Implementation of Hajj and Umrah.
Separately, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation, Cecep Castrawijaya, said that the implementation of the 4th batch of professional Hajj and Umrah advisors certification program is considered strategic. This shows that Fidikom has superior human resources in the field of professional Hajj and Umrah management.
“This certification program, God willing, will always be held, both in collaboration with the association of Umrah and Hajj organizers and other related institutions,” said Cecep. (usa/ns)
