FEB UIN Jakarta Signs LoI With Universiti Sabah Malaysia

FEB, UIN News Online – Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UIN Jakarta and Faculty of Business, Economics and Accountancy Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) are exploring cooperation in order to enrich their respective academic climate.

This is evidenced by the signing of a Letter of Intent (LoI) between the Dean of FEB UIN Jakarta, Amilin and Dean of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Accountancy USM Mohd. Rahimie Aba. Karim. The LoI signing ceremony was carried out at the FEB UIN Jakarta on Monday (08/22/2022).

Dean of FEB UIN Jakarta Amilin told UIN News Online that the LoI signing was carried out after after the two parties discussed the cooperation plan.

“We agreed to collaborate in three areas, academic, research, and community service,” said Amilin.

It is planned that cooperation in the three areas will be realized in a number of partnership programs such as academic conferences, journal publications, student exchanges, and lecturer exchanges.

“Insha Allah, we will turn this LoI into an MoU which is planned to be signed in Malaysia by the leaders of the two universities. Hopefully the Rector, or the Vice Rectpr for Cooperation, and the representatives of FEB UIN Jakarta can get there as soon as possible,” he said.

On the same occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Accountancy UMS  Rahimie welcomes the cooperation plan carried out by the two institutions.

“We hope that this cooperation plan can be realized as soon as possible in order to improve each other's academic, research, and social work,” said Rahimie.

Furthermore, Dean Amilin said that recently, FEB UIN Jakarta signed a collaboration agreement with the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences, University of Nairobi Kenya.

“We want to make FEB UIN Jakarta as a faculty with a global vision in 2030,” he added. (zm/adt/dap/usa)
