FEB UIN Jakarta and IIIBF IIUM Agree to Collaborate
FEB, UIN News Online – The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UIN Jakarta and IIUM Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance (IIIiBF) International Islamic University of Malaysia agreed to sign an academic collaboration. Cooperation is carried out in accelerating collaboration in teaching, research, and community service at the two institutions.
The cooperation agreement was carried out in the meeting room of the FEB UIN Jakarta, Friday (10/1449/2022). The agreement itself is stated in a collaboration document signed by the leaders of the two faculties, namely the Dean of FEB UIN Jakarta Amilin, and the Dean of IIIBF IIUM Rusni Hassan witnessed by a number of academics from both parties.
Amilin in his remarks expressed his gratitude for the willingness of IIIBF IIUM to cooperate with FEB UIN Jakarta. In particular, Amilin also expressed his appreciation for Rahmawati, one of the lecturers at FEB UIN Jakarta in facilitating this collaboration.
“I also hope that this cooperation agreement can provide maximum benefits for the academic community of these two institutions. This is mainly to accelerate the achievement of the goals of cooperation in 049the teaching, research, and social engagement sectors,” said Amilin.
On the same occasion, The Dean of IIIBF Rusni Hassan also expressed her gratitude and appreciation to FEB UIN Jakarta for the willingness to cooperate in the fields of Islamic banking and finance between the two parties.
“Hopefully this collaboration will be able to encourage the role of Islamic Finance and Banking in economic development both at the regional and international levels in accordance with the SDGs targets,” said Rusni Hassan.
The cooperation itself is planned to be realized in a number of programs. In addition to publication collaborations, student and lecturer exchanges, and examiner collaborations for postgraduate students, as well as academic conferences.
After the signing of the MoU, the two parties also held a public lecture titled “Contemporary Issues in Islamic Banking and Finance Toward Sustainability Development”. Present as a resource person, Professor of Islamic Economics IIIBF Salina Kassim and Professor of Islamic Economics FEB UIN Jakarta Euis Amalia. (zm/usa)
