FEB to Organize International Conference on Islamic Business and Finance
FEB, UIN News Online – Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UIN Jakarta has scheduled an International Conference on Islamic Finance and Business (ICIFEB) on July, 19-20, 2022. The committee invited researchers, students, and practitioners of Islamic economics to participate in the conference (https://icifeb.event.uinjkt.ac.id/).
The chairman of the committee, Dr. Titi Dewi Warninda said that ICIFEB is expected to contribute to the advancement of studies on Islamic business and finance through discussions and publications of participants' works. “In addition, this event can be used as a meana to develop international networks,” said Titi to UIN News Online on Wednesday (04/13/2022).
Following the Covid 19 pandemic, the committee decided that this time the ICIFEB would be held online. “Considering the development of the Covid-19 pandemic, the 3rd ICIFEB event will be held online in the form of webinars and online conferences,” added Titi.
By raising the theme on "Achieving Sustainability Through Islamic Finance and Business Digital Transformation", ICIFEB 2022 will invite the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia Sri Mulyani Indrawati to deliver her keynote speech.
A number of experts in Islamic economics are also planned to attend as keynote speakers. Among them are Roszaini Haniffa from Heriod-Watt University as well as Editor of the Journal of Islamic Accounting and Business Research, Mansor H. Ibrahim from the International Center for Education in Islamic Finance, Professor Euis Amalia from UIN Jakarta, and others.
The conference also invited participants to present their research results for almost 40 sub-themes, ranging from Islamic Banking, Islamic Finance, Digital Marketing, to e-commerce. Participants are expected to submit an abstract of their research results on April 1-30 May, 2022 and submit the full paper final on June 30, 2022.
Referring to the previous two conferences, ICIFEB attracted many participants from various countries and professional backgrounds. “As a reference, ICIFEB was previously attended by academics, researchers, and professionals from various countries, including universities from Malaysia, Qatar, and Australia, research institutions, government, and private institutions,” said Titi.
