Featuring the Minister of Women and Children Empowerment: UIN Jakarta Hosts the PBAK 2025 for Thousands of Freshmen

Triguna Field, UIN Online News — The Minister of Women and Children Empowerment (PPA) of the Republic of Indonesia, Dra. Hj. Arifatul Choiri Fauzi, M.Si., attended as the Keynote Speaker and officially opened the 2025 Academic and Student Culture Introduction Program (PBAK) at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta on Tuesday (26/8/2025). In her address, the Minister emphasized the importance of strengthening the spiritual-based character of new students in preparation for Golden Indonesia 2045.
In her speech, Minister Arifatul stated that university life is an educational gateway that will shape students' future and emphasized the importance of strengthening the spiritual-based character of new students in preparation for the Golden Indonesia 2045.
“Today is a crucial moment. You are entering an educational gateway that will guide you to the milestones of the future—thinking critically, expanding knowledge, enriching experiences, and building character and personality. Thus, the future of Indonesia lies in your hands,” she affirmed.
She added that the opportunity to become a student at UIN Jakarta is a blessing to be grateful for
“Hundreds of thousands of people applied to UIN Jakarta, but only about 9,100 were accepted. You are among the chosen ones. This fortune must be preserved as best as possible because the future of UIN is decided by your actions,” she stated.
In addition, she urged new students not only to pursue knowledge but also to contribute tangibly to society.
“The world of education needs the participation of students who are caring, compassionate, and uphold human values. These are the provisions that will guide you to become a generation capable of creating a positive impact on the nation,” she stated.
Furthermore, she stressed the importance of creating an academic environment that is safe and full of solidarity.
“I hope UIN Jakarta students will care for one another and reject violence. Let us create an inclusive academic environment for all of us,” she urged.
With the theme "Contemporary Students for the Future World: Spreading Love, Caring for the Universe," this year’s PBAK highlights the crucial role of students as agents of change who not only excel academically but also possess social responsibility, environmental awareness, and a commitment to humanitarian values.
PBAK 2025 presents multidisciplinary figures who will deliver public lectures, motivation, and insights on nationalism to new students. The speakers include: Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. K.H. Nasaruddin Umar, M.A.; Minister of Primary & Secondary Education of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Abdul Mu’ti, M.Ed.; Minister of Women’s Empowerment & Child Protection of the Republic of Indonesia, Dra. Hj. Arifatul Choiri Fauzi, M.Si.; Minister of Communication and Digital of the Republic of Indonesia, Meutya Viada Hafid; Governor of Lemhannas RI, Dr. H. TB. Ace Hasan Syadzily, M.Si.; Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia, Mochammad Afifuddin, M.Si.; Indonesian preacher and author Habib Husein Ja’far Al Hadar; academic and researcher in humanitarian law, Zezen Zaenal Muttaqin, S.J.D; and YouTuber, mathematics teacher, and creative entrepreneur Jerome Polin Sijabat.
These speakers reaffirm UIN Jakarta’s openness to cross-disciplinary perspectives, ranging from politics, law, security, and education to the digital world. New students will gain broad insights that connect knowledge with social, political, cultural, and technological domains.
