Featuring Lemhanas RI: UIN Jakarta Alumnus Highlights Religion-State Relations in Islamic Institution
Harun Nasution Auditorium, UIN Online News — Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta convened an Open Senate Session on Wednesday (24/09/2025) to mark its 68th Anniversary, themed “Strengthening Global Reputation Towards Indonesia Emas 2045,” at the Harun Nasution Auditorium.
Governor of the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) and Chair of the UIN Jakarta Alumni Association (IKALUIN), Dr. H. Tb. Ace Hasan Syadzily, M.Si., delivered his remarks, commending UIN Jakarta’s six decades of contribution to Indonesian society. He emphasized the university’s historic role.
“ADIA, IAIN, and UIN Jakarta have proven themselves as centers of excellence in fostering religion–state relations within the academic sphere. The inclusive Islamic thought nurtured by UIN Jakarta is one of the greatest gifts to this nation,” he stated.
Dr. Ace also underscored the achievements of UIN alumni who now hold strategic positions in government and society.
“Surprisingly, our Minister of Religious Affairs is an alumnus of UIN Jakarta. Even the Director General of Science and Technology at the Ministry of Education is a graduate of UIN. These are clear proofs that UIN alumni play an important role in advancing the national agenda,” he noted.
Looking to the future, he stressed the importance of integrating religious knowledge with science to meet academic demands.
“Islam should not only be considered a set of norms or doctrines; it must transform into a driving force for the advancement of knowledge,” he remarked.
As IKALUIN Chair, Dr. Ace further announced the revival of the IKALUIN Award, an initiative to honor alumni who have made outstanding contributions to the university’s prestige and relevance.
“For the glory of the nation and the university, UIN Jakarta will always stand as a living testimony of the best educational service,” he declared.
