Featuring Gen-Z Influencers: LDK Syahid UIN Jakarta Holds the 2025 Islamic Movement Festival

Jakarta, UIN Online News — The Student Activity Unit (UKM) LDK Syahid of Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta hosted the Islamic Movement Festival 2025 at the Student Center Hall under the theme “Faith x Logic: Life Is More Than Following the Flow.”

The festival featured a diverse lineup of speakers, including Rian Fahardi (founder of @distrik_berisik), actor Alfie Alfandy, popular preacher and streamer Abi Sekakia, Multazam Ahmad (expert staff at the Ministry of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers), and social media specialist Ida Ruspita.

In her remarks, Ida Ruspita emphasized the importance of focus and self-awareness in pursuing goals.

“When we want to achieve something, we must stay focused on ourselves. Do not let external factors interfere, because once we make peace with ourselves, recognize our potential, and explore it further, that is what will lead us to what we truly want,” Ida Ruspita encouraged.

She also expressed her appreciation for the festival, describing it as a meaningful platform for dialogue with UIN Jakarta students.

“This event is very memorable, as it gives us the chance to reconnect and engage in discussions reminiscent of our university days,” she noted.

Meanwhile, Multazam Ahmad highlighted the balance between faith and logic as the key to navigating the future.

“I hope that through this event students can strengthen their faith while sharpening their logic, because in the future, those with strong faith and sharp reasoning will be the most resilient,” he remarked.

He further underlined that students should practice dialectics with their faith and continuously seek progress through pure reasoning.

“Hopefully, this event encourages students to engage in dialectics with their faith, leading to acceptance and progress through pure logic,” he added.

Rian Fahardi advised students to align their ideal self with their real self in order to achieve their aspirations more effectively.

“Do not get trapped by your ideal self to the point where it does not connect with your real self and your dreams. First, align it with your capacity, abilities, and understanding, then channel your energy and focus toward your goals,” he explained.

He also encouraged students to reduce their use of social media.

“Social media is rotting our brain. Data shows we spend 8–10 hours on it daily. By cutting back, even if just a little, gradual and meaningful changes will eventually take place,” he advised.

The Islamic Movement Festival 2025 successfully combined intellectual reflection with spiritual dialogue, offering UIN Jakarta students a space to strengthen their faith while sharpening critical reasoning.
