FDIKOM UIN Jakarta Celebrates 35th Anniversary with Fun Run & Walk 2025

FDIKOM Building, UIN Online News — The Faculty of Da‘wa and Communication (FDIKOM) at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta marked its 35th Anniversary with a vibrant Fun Run & Walk 2025, held on Saturday (September 27, 2025) at Campus I.

Covering a distance of 5 kilometers, the race began at the FDIKOM Building, took runners around the main campus, and concluded back at the starting point, which drew enthusiastic participation from faculty members, students, and alumni in a spirit of inclusivity and festivity.

In his remarks, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Ahmad Tholabi, S.Ag., S.H., M.H., M.A., praised the faculty’s longstanding achievements.

“FDIKOM is one of our faculties with accomplishments we should be proud of,” he commended.

He further encouraged the academic community to continue advancing FDIKOM and UIN Jakarta by fostering work ethic, perseverance, and ongoing self-reflection.

“Let us work together to elevate FDIKOM and UIN Jakarta by nurturing work ethics, hard work, and continuous evaluation,” he called.

Dean of FDIKOM, Prof. Dr. Gun Gun Heryanto, M.Si., expressed his hopes for sustained growth and collective empowerment within the faculty.

“FDIKOM continues to grow together and empower the students. The entire academic community should develop the society with critical thinking and concrete contribution,” he stated.

As part of the Fun Run, the first ten finishers received special awards. One of them, Rasya Akmal from the Islamic Guidance and Counseling Study Program (BPI), shared his impressions:

“This Fun Run is exciting, helped me expand my network, and boosted my motivation to study. You know what, keep yourself motivated and disciplined in physical exercise,” he shared.

The 35th Anniversary celebration also featured a charity initiative in collaboration with BAZNAS, providing support for educational staff. Earlier, on Friday (26/9/2025), FDIKOM hosted additional events, including a joint exercise session, a scholarship talk, a networking gathering, and the anniversary celebration held at the Prof. Husnul Aqib Suminto Theater Hall.
