FDIKOM is Optimistically pursuing Internationalization through Completing ACQUIN Accreditation Visitation

Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Studies, UIN News Online - UIN Jakarta held ACQUIN accreditation for the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Studies for two days on December 9 and 10, 2024. Wednesday, (11/12/2024).

Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Studies Academic Affairs, Dr. Fita Fathurokhmah, M.Si., stated the results of FDIKOM UIN Jakarta accreditation for four study programs namely Islamic Broadcasting Communication (KPI), Islamic Guidance and Counseling (BPI), Da'wah Management (MD), and Social Welfare (Kessos).

The four study programs received results that meet the standard, “Unconditional, which means they meet the standards of international standard assessment. Experts say that the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences (FDIKOM) has professionalism in handling its faculty,” said Dr. Fita Fathurokhmah, M.Si.

Furthermore, she stated that there are 10 standardized assessments to obtain international standard university accreditation or Accreditation, Certification, and Quality Assurance Institute (ACQUIN) including quality policy, learning systematics, lecture facilities, lecturer assessment, information media, faculty relations, and others. “The assessors are very detailed in assessing and asking questions,” explained Dr. Fita Fathurokhmah, M.Si.

Dr. Robert Rabac as one of the assessors argued that the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences succeeded in achieving superior accreditation. “I think, all of these will be excelled (from all assessment standards),” said Robert Rabac in a Whatsapp conversation with Dr. Fita Fathurokhmah M.Si.

Robert Rabac also informed that the official ACQUIN results at the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences will be released next week. The announcement of accreditation results will provide a comprehensive picture of the achievements and quality of study programs at the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences. This is expected to be a benchmark for curriculum development, lecturer quality, and academic infrastructure in the future.

ACQUIN (Accreditation, Certification, and Quality Assurance Institute) is an international accreditation certification body registered with EQAR (European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education), which measures the quality assurance standardization of international universities in Europe. The assessment is carried out through an online forum and faculty visitation. The Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Science is Cluster 3 in the Social, Communication and Management category.
