FDI UIN Jakarta Received Visits from Umm Al-Qura University

FDI, UIN News Online – Faculty of Dirasat Islamiyah (FDI) UIN Jakarta received visits from Umm Al-Qura University delegation, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Tuesday, (12/12/2017) at the meeting room of FDI UIN Jakarta.

The delegation, led by Dr Yasin (Head of Qur'an and Hadith Study Program) Umm Al-Qura University, was warmly welcomed by the Dean of FDI Dr Hamka Hasan Lc MA, all FDI Vice Deans, S1 and S2 Department heads, S2 students as well as several S2 alumni of FDI UIN Jakarta.

The meeting which lasted no less than 3 hours resulted in several cooperation agreements between the two institutions.

In his remarks, Hamka appreciated the initiation of the cooperation. Additionally, Hamka also thanked him for his visit to UIN Jakarta, especially to the Faculty of Dirasat Islamiyah.

“Hopefully this visit will strengthen the relationship between FDI UIN Jakarta and Umm Al-Qura University and could enrich the scientific development climate in both institutions, especially in the field of slamic studies,” said Hamka.

On the same occasion Dr. Yasin also socialized scholarships for doctoral program at the Department of al-Qur'an Umm Al-Qura University. The scholarships are for students and FDI master alumni. The scholarships are intended for students and S2 alumni of FDI UIN Jakarta.

“Hopefully, this cooperation can bridge the development of scientific development in both institutions. We will realize this cooperation soon as possible,” said Yasin.

Based on UIN News Online observation, it seems that the students and S2 and alumni are very enthusiast to join the scholarship enrollment. This is evidenced by many technical related questions on how to obtain the scholarship. (usa)
