FDI, UIN News Online – To enliven HAMASA 2017 event, Faculty of Islamic Studies (FDI) UIN Jakarta organize several events, starting from Monday-Wednesday (October 16-18, 2017), located at FDI Building UIN Jakarta.

The event, which features the theme on Eksistensi Bahasa Arab dalam Lintas Perbedaan Peradaban, will include several activities, among them are National Seminar with Helvy Tiana Rosa and Dr Siti Amsariah MA on Monday, (10/16/2017).

In addition to seminar, there are also several competitions, namely Arabic Debate competition, Musabaqah Qiroatul Qutub (MMQ), Essay, Arabic News, Calligraphy, Arab Idol, Poetry and Speech, which will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. While on the last day, (Wednesday, October 18, 2017) will be filled with Public Speaking activities with Ali Hasan AL Bahar Lc MA, and M Mamduh Nur al-Din S SI, M chc, C chi.

Present in the opening of the event, Dr. Cahya Buana MA as Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, and civitas academica of FDI UIN Jakarta.

Additionally, there were also participants from Al Kahf Sukabumi and Nahdlatul Ulum Islamic Boarding Makassar. Also present in the event, participants from various universities and boarding schools. Among them, IIQ, Darullughah Wadda'wah Institute, LEMKA, LIPIA, TAINU Tasikmalaya, STEBANK, STFI SADRA Jakarta, STIT AL Amin, UII, UIN SMH Banten, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, UIN Sunan Kalijaga, UM Malang, UMJ, and Universitas Sultan Agung Tirtayasa.

Furthermore, emissaries from Daarul Mughni, Daarul Rahman, Darus-Sunnah, MA Al Hidayah, MA Al-Mansyuriyah, MAN 1 Tangerang, MAN Insan Cendekia, PP Darus Salam, PP Qotrun Nada, PP Sabilus Salam, SMK HASS Ashabulyamin, and Bait al-Quran Foundation.

In her remarks, Cahya said that this series of activities an annual event of FDI to improve the quality and existence of FDI students of UIN Jakarta in developing Arabic language.

“This activity aims to improve students intellectual and their abilities as well as to improve their self quality, and their Arabic language skills,” she added. (usa)
