FDI UIN Jakarta Holds the 5th International Conference

Main Auditorium, UIN News Online – The Faculty of Islamic Studies (FDI) UIN Jakarta, in collaboration with Rhabithah Al-Jami’at Al-Islamiyah (Islamic Universities Association) holds the 5th International conference entitled “نحو تحقيق التكامل بين تجارب وإنجازات التنمية فى دول العالم الإسلامي”, Tuesday-Thursday (9/19-21/2017), at Harun Nasution Auditorium, Campus I of UIN Jakarta.

Present in the event, Rector of UIN Jakarta Prof Dr Dede Rosyada MA, Rabithah Al-Alam Al-Islamy delegation yaikh Abdullah Muhsin Atturki, secretary-general of Rhabithah Al-Jami’at Al-Islamiyah Jakfar Abdussalam, accompanied by former Rector of Al-Azhar University Abdul Hay Azb, MiddleEastern Deans and Professors, and Ambassador of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Indonesia H.E. Osama Mohammad Abdullah Alshuaibi.

In his remarks, Rector of UIN Jakarta Prof Dr Dede Rosyada MA said that UIN Jakarta has been successful in maintaining scientific culture whether it is religious or general sciences.

“Since its establishment, UIN Jakarta has holds many seminars in the fields of Science. Additionally, UIN Jakarta has also worked hard in developing a new curriculum, as well as to serve the community. 11 faculties in UIN Jakarta is one form of scientific integration between the religion and general sciences,” said Dede.

Meanwhile, Abdullah Muhsin Atturki in his remarks hoping that this seminar can enhance the cooperation among Muslims around the world, “There needs to be cooperation between Muslims although we all know there are many madzhab, groups and organizations in it. In addition, we must also work together to find solutions to resolve conflicts in Islamic countries such as Iraq, Syria and Yemen,” he said.

He also added that all cooperation among Islamic countries should be further expanded. Not only limited to discourse or theory, but also must be really realized.

“All parties must understand this so that Muslims can return to its glory,” he added. (usa)
