FDI Receives a Visit from the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman

FDI, UIN News Online – On Friday, October 12, 2018, the Dirasat Islamiyah Faculty received a joint visit from the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, represented by Abdul Rahman Ahmed al-Khalili as Director of the Introduction to Islam and Cultural Exchange and two colleagues.

This visit aims to explore cooperation between universities in Oman and UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, especially matters related to Islam. According to Abdul Rahman, it is possible to hold a student exchange program if there is an MoU between the two universities.

The group then visited the Dirasat Islamiyah Faculty Library to see various Islamic references in UIN. After Friday Prayers they also asked to be escorted to visit the Main Library of Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University in Jakarta.

The Dean of FDI hopes that this visit will continue to be written cooperation and subsequently implemented in activities that benefit both parties. (usa)
