FAH UIN Jakarta Achieves an 89% Completion Rate for Tracer Study Program
FAH, UIN Online News — The Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAH) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta achieved a proud milestone by becoming the faculty with the highest participation rate in the Tracer Study within the UIN Jakarta faculties.
This achievement was announced during a meeting about the Tracer Study results in the Dean's Meeting Room on Thursday (August 14, 2025).
The event was attended by the Dean of FAH, Dr. Ade Abdul Hak, S.Ag., S.S., M.Hum., CIQnR; the Vice Dean III for Student Affairs and Alumni, Prof. Usep Abdul Matin, S.Ag., M.A. (Leiden), M.A. (Duke), Ph.D. (Monash); the Head of FAH Administration, Iwan Kurniawan, S.Pd., M.Si.; the Head of the UIN Jakarta Career Center, Muhammad Kholis Hamdy, S.Sos.I., MInt.Dev.; Career Center Staff, Aditya Wardhana and Mustakim; the Heads of FAH Study Programs; and UIN Jakarta Career Center internship students.
In his remarks, the Dean of FAH emphasized that the Tracer Study is an important instrument for assessing the graduates' connection to the employment market and providing strategic feedback for the development of faculty and study program quality.
"Filling out the Tracer Study needs to be done in a targeted manner to produce valid and useful data," Dr. Ade Abdul Hak said.
Similarly, the Vice Dean III of FAH emphasized the importance of maintaining a mutual connection between alumni and the faculty since the Tracer Study was implemented based on previous accomplishments.
Tracer study, as a survey for tracking the FAH cohorts' career track, were driven thru Prof. Usep Abdul Matin's coordination as Vice Dean III, with regular guidance from the Dean of FAH and the support of the UIN Jakarta Career Center.
"The collaboration successfully yielded a Tracer Study completion rate of 89%, the highest among all faculties at UIN Jakarta," he remarked.
During the Data Tracer Study presentation session, the UIN Jakarta Career Center team showed that the number of respondents who mostly completed their study program within 7–8 semesters reached 792 alumni out of 896 graduates from batches 131–134, with the majority of respondents being female (69.1%).
The FAH alumni who participated the most came from West Java (250), Banten (239), and DKI Jakarta (226).
Based on the study program, the distribution of FAH respondents is as follows: Bachelor of Arabic Language and Literature (258), Library Science (177), English Literature (127), Tarjamah (105), Islamic History and Civilization (103); and Master of Islamic History and Culture (13), and Arabic Language and Literature (9).
The survey results show that 51.5% of respondents are already employed, with 68.3% of them starting their job search before graduation, and the majority of alumni working in fields relevant to their major.
Additionally, there are 63 alumni who pursued master's degrees in various fields of study. The assessment of alumni competence is fairly high at 4.64 for communication skills and 4.70 for reliability.
This activity also highlights the role of the Prima Internship Program as a strategic means of strengthening student skills while also promoting broader integration of FAH's commitment to continuously align graduate competencies with the market's demand.
