Faculty of Science and Technology of UIN Jakarta Launched Agribussiness Laboratory
Bojongsari, UIN Online News - Faculty of Science and Technology of UIN Jakarta, aiming to enhance students' academic pursuits by providing direct access to agribusiness practice facilities, launched the Agribusiness Laboratory at the PPG Campus in Bojongsari on Tuesday (11/2/2025).
The inauguration was presided by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Ahmad Tholabi, LL.M.; and the Vice Rector for General Administration, Professor Dr. Imam Subchi; Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Dr. Husni Teja Sukmana; the Acting Head of the General Administration and Personnel Bureau, Teguh Sarwono, M.Sc.; and several leaders from the Faculty of Science and Technology.
"The opening of this agribusiness practicum building exemplifies our dedication in enhancing the quality of education and maintaining company assets at UIN Jakarta, particularly in the promising field of agribusiness in Indonesia," Dr. Husni Teja Sukmana explained the opening of the agribusiness building.
A comprehensive strategy has been initiated for the development of the Agribusiness study program at the Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Jakarta. "The adoption of the Green House concept will establish this as the National Spice Center and a national spice education garden accessible to school students," he added.
In his address, Professor Imam Subchi articulated his ambition that the opening of the practice building would foster collaboration between the educational sector and the industrial realm. "It is hoped that the business plan developed by the program will operate as intended and positively influence the revenue growth of UIN Jakarta," he said.
The agribussiness laboratory. which costs IDR 12 billion, then symbolically opened by ribbon-cutting ceremony to signify the formal use of this bulding for practical and instructional purposes. The establishment of this new functional facility is anticipated to better equip students of the Faculty of Science and Technology at UIN Jakarta to contribute significantly towards agricultural sector in Indonesia.
